aStonedPenguin
Warning: Tutorials floating around that include more than what's here will likely cause issues. Do not follow them. You may experience crashes or other bugs if you do this, remove the autoexec.cfg changes if you do. Windows: Step 1: Head to your Garry's Mod folder, open the cfg folder, open autoexec.cfg (Use can use notepad to open it) Add the following values: cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1 r_threaded_client_shadow_manager 1 r_threaded_particles 1 r_threaded_renderables 1 r_queued_ropes 1 studio_queue_mode 1 gmod_mcore_test 1 Step 2: Open game settings, select the video tab, click "Advanced..." and enable/make sure "Multicore Rendering" is enabled. Step 3: Open Windows Explorer, enter "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options" in the address bar and set your plan to "High performance", if you do not have that plan or have a laptop select "Balanced". Everything: Turn down your graphics settings if needed. The applicable above steps will currently crash macOS and probably Linux users. 2 2 1 17
