oh i didn't read your post fully.

but regardless ping in garry's mod isn't accurate as its effected by both your fps, server fps and a variety of convars.

The device which hosts all of the game servers (known as the dedicated host/server) has a new, current gen processor (arguably the best one of the current gen) and overall better specifications, meaning that the server will have better performance and therefore we will have a better experience on the server in terms of ping/connection.
