What I think If you are a cop and a hobo throws bugbait at you, do you arrest or do you kill them? I say arrest, because thats your job as a cop. If you are a cop, and a rent a cop runs up and stun sticks you, which does 0 damage and 0 armor damage, Do you kill them? I say you arrest, because your a police officer, It did no damage to you. Do your job and arrest them. If you are a cop and a pimp comes up and pimp slaps you, can the cop kill the player? I say yes because the pimp slap, which does ARMOR damage, is directly harming you. While all other cases dont do any damage. If you are a cop, and a player comes up and tazes you, can you kill the player who tazes you? Personally I think this is up for debate, I would say this damages your ability to move and should be a killable offense considering it does restrict you in a very noticeable way, while the stunstick does just a flash on screen. If you are a cop, and a rapist comes and rapes you, Can you kill the player? If its successful I would say yes since it has a small chance of killing you, if the rape fails you should attempt to arrest. (Since it auto wants them) My outlook and ruling on how I think it should be is: If it does NO damage, a police officer should make all attempts to arrest that player. A police officer should only kill a player when his life is in danger. That is how I think it should be. Lets let voting begin. I'm on the edge of tazer, since it does no damage. But does inhibit your ability to move SEVERELY. I would be fine with allowing you to kill for Tazer since it affects your ability to move significantly.

Police Officers and Assault Arrest or kill? So recently we had a vote in management to determine if we should allow the killing of players by police officers, when the situation is a Player Assaulting a police officer. We discussed all forms of assault that are on the server. Which include: Currently the forms of Assault that are on the table for discussion/voting are: Stun Sticking (Only does damage if you right click) Pimp Slapping (Does armor damage) Bugbaiting (Does Zero Damage) Taser (Damages your ability to move :kappa:) Rape (Has a chance to do damage) We had a very SPLIT opinion on this in management and the vote was VERY VERY CLOSE. The vote was about when a police officer should be allowed to kill a player who assaults them. Each management member had their own outlook on the situation, but in the end the vote was passed in favor of that all forms of assault, EXCLUDING bug baiting, is annoying, and should in turn be a kill able offense when you are a police officer. So, I shall write it up simply here for everyone to understand what is changing/being enforced: Currently the forms of Assault and What a police officer can do Stun Sticking a Police Officer = Kill on Sight Pimp Slapping a Police Officer = Kill on Sight Tasering a Police Officer = Kill on Sight Rape towards a police officer = Kill on Sight Bugbaiting a Police Officer = Arrest on Sight So with that being said Bugbaiting is the only form of assault where a cop can NOT Kill on sight. While any other form of assault directed to a police officer results in the police officer being allowed to kill the player whom assaulted them. With all that said the Managment voting poll looked like this in terms of what we all voted for as you can see it was a very split vote in terms of what everyone was thinking: POLL OPTIONS If the assault does NO damage, all attempts to arrest should be made until the police officer's life is in danger. (4 SA+ Voted for this option) You should just kill any and all who assault you, not including bugbait, when you are a police officer. It's annoying. (5 SA+ Voted for this option) With the management vote completed, the vote is now being put into your hands as the community! We value your opinions on this, and would love to hear and see what you all have to say. If there is a resounding support for the options that was NOT chosen, the vote will be pulled back and re-voted on. Please feel free to put your opinions into place about what you think! We would love to hear it! P.S This does not apply to non-Government jobs, citizens of the city have always and will always be allowed to defend themselves against all forms of assault. Happy Voting
