TLDR:

At roughly 1:00am-1:30am ET our hosting provider will be upgrading their router.

During this time all servers and the website may experience lag or go offline for a short period of time. TS will not be effected.

Service Affected: Entire Dallas Infrastructure
Date: September 17, 2018
Reason: Planned Edge Router Upgrade.
Start Time: 1 AM Eastern Standard Time (Three hours and 14 minutes from this message)
End Time: 1:30 AM Eastern Standard Time (Estimated 10 to 30 minutes)
Expected Downtime: Complete network blackout of unprotected IP Addresses and potentially protected IP Addresses.

Additional Details:

We are looking into upgrading our Edge router at Dallas tonight. This will require the data center to disconnect the fiber endpoints and plug them into the new router which should take no longer than five minutes however just in case, it can take up to 30 minutes.

This will add more network capacity to Dallas and will also increase our DDoS mitigation capacity at Dallas. We will work to ensure that the protected IP Addresses are still routable globally however the unprotected IP Addresses will be out of our control.

Good thing he said this, can't imagine all servers freaking out over nothing.

They still probably will.
