  6. I think SUP should stay in the server browser. I wouldnt want to give a game server more access to my PC than gmod allows. Alt searching is probably one of penguin's biggest reasons for it. Having access to one's computer outside of gmod limits gives him power to put whatever he wants on your PC, look at whatever he wants on ur PC, and so whatever he wants with ur PC. Knowing SUP, I cant imagine them making a SUP launcher for player convenience, players can already make gmod shortcuts that autoconnect to sup

  17. Police should be held to the same ruling as every other player. When I was staff here, I know we tried to keep things as black and white as possible. If you still try to make things as easy to understand/B&W as possible, then cops should be held to the same ruling. Meaning if you assault any player period, they can kill you. The other police specific rules that are stated will still apply, but this assault rule should be server-wide to keep things simple and B&W.
  18. my opinion: dont change it. It's been this way since forever and it makes no sense to change it. There's no issue with the current ruling, so I don't see why it needs to be changed. dont change shit for no reason, if it aint broke dont fix it. All you're doing by trying to change a rule like this is fucking over the players that dont look at the forums regularly

  21. water u gonna do for mobile devices and when u dont have the drive, nor a computer. Just seems like it'd be a pain when you're in a different city without a computer and ur trying to login to something on mobile. I have a master password that unlocks an encrypted "vault" on the server that they're all stored on. Master pass is a long and uses symbols but its memorized. It's also stored locally and written down in a "password bible" that's locked in a safe in an office space. It's long but its the procedure; once its done you just have to use the master pass and you have all your passwords complete with labels, emails, urls, etc. anywhere in the world, no need to grab a drive or computer for every password. You could store it all on something like this http://nuttysu.cc/afb53.png Which is a server running a Nextcloud instance, the vault password application encrypts each "vault", has sharing key sizes of 4096bit, comes with password auditing to test passwords, is able to import credentials from various data file types, etc.
  22. find a better way to store ur passwords
  23. Yeah people usually sell tons of accounts on the tor network, complete with credit card info and all. That's one reason why G2A.com makes so much money, People buy tons of stolen credit card information, use it to buy game keys, then sell the keys on G2A for profit. This is why people hate and called for the reformation of G2A.com's policies on selling digital keys There are also a few bots out there that monitor dumps and such and can let you know when your email, username, password, w/e is found in a dump. Most clearnet dumps tho are just previews for the actual dump hosted on a tor server These dumps are just another reason why you should all be using long generated passwords using numbers, characters, and even symbols all grouped together and stored in a password manager of sorts. Penguin at one point referred people to https://dnt.abine.com/ , Though I've never used it so I can't speak on it. I use my own pass manager stored and managed by a company server. But that type of cautiousness is something most people won't understand, as seen by the number of accounts you can get right now. I think Twitter itself has around 3 million accounts leaked with username/password combinations so you can just log right in, though in most cases Twitter will stop you right there and wait for email verification, in which case a lot of people use the same email/pass combo for their email as well. So it's easy to do that yourself. It's never not a good time to do a password change!
