Yes.

I think SUP should stay in the server browser. I wouldnt want to give a game server more access to my PC than gmod allows.

Alt searching is probably one of penguin's biggest reasons for it. Having access to one's computer outside of gmod limits gives him power to put whatever he wants on your PC, look at whatever he wants on ur PC, and so whatever he wants with ur PC.

Knowing SUP, I cant imagine them making a SUP launcher for player convenience, players can already make gmod shortcuts that autoconnect to sup

This has everything to do with player convenience. We use GMAs outside of Workshop and our own content pipeline to make mounting content way easier and efficient. Letting clients avoid the hassle of mounting issues, folder permissions and addon conflicts is a pretty good reason to have a seperate launcher. If you're so concerned you can always inspect it yourself.

Also if you know what you are doing Gmod is not sandboxed. Gmod has always been filled by sketchy servers that abuse exploits. Not that it means anything.

I'd use it. Better than having to go through steam everyday.

I don't have any technical understanding of gmod, but how would this work for new players connecting through the gmod mod player list vs. how would it be different for players on the new client.
