You can still use the convar, it just doesn't update in real time.

Why not make it so the commands just don’t appear in logs?

There’s no practical reason for it to be logged anyways.

Before we had Physcolor logs: I was prop minging from within my base (bank w/ the 1 way windows) and an admin no-clipped in to try and catch me. So, I changed my physgun color and told him it wasn't me, I was building extras. 

Playercolor is absolutely useless though.
