[CWRP PSA] Future Changes and the direction of the server

I'm sure that some of management have likely claimed that they were "forced" into this decisions but at the end of the day the majority were willing to give it a try and understood why it was going to be happening. Which is all I can ask for.

add my senator already smh

If they agreed to it, then I'm ok with it and can only hope that those who take over can do just as good as they did.

I know by heart not all of them agreed

No one claimed they did.

Thats not the point, the point is some must've been forced to be sperated form their position/battalion

None of them were force, they could of stepped down from management to DA, and still hold their rank (I believe, idk).

SA+ plus are here for the betterement of the server that is why they are put in that position. there are going to be times where they will have to put there personel RP experience to the side for the community. Thats what defines there position and im sure they all understand that.

So I leave for not even 24 hours and changes are major Kappa. But in all seriousness if we are going through with this the community should get a somewhat vote or a way to give opinions on the people appointed to these positions, basically make those who are chosen apply to give the community a way to state opinions because without it people could get put into places that a majority of the community don't agree with. This is just what I think because I am already running scenarios of this through my head and I don't know how I personally feel about some outcomes.

Or trust the person SA+ to appoint someone good, dad.

My opinion, being super admin and council isn't an easy job, and taking them away from high position roles kind of takes the fun out of them game and make it into a full time job for them O.O just my opinion, don't roast me plz

So I agree but they have to be on to have fun. Just saying

I originally did not wanna step down from Grand Master because of several reasons, I feel I earned that position, and the MotO's were fully capable of leading the battalion without my presence had the need arised, I also didn't wanna lose being a Jedi etc...

In the end a compromise was made, I would keep Grand Master, but I would not be "in charge" of THIS particular ORDER of Jedi, if you all recall in lore there were multiple Councils across the galaxy governing a set of jedi, and one High Council, one Master of the Order, and one Grand Master. The Grand Master rarely stayed in one place long as he did missions and assisted in teaching the younglings. The Master of the Order is the one that will be leading the Jedi Order in the Grand Masters absence and will have final say/decision over everything. The Grand Master in this case will just become an "advisor" as if he occasionally visits and provides advice.

This actually whilst I am a little upset about it due to the reasons for this change, in the end it's a welcome stress-relief for me. I spend nearly 1-1:30 hours on the forums doing Council stuff everyday, then I'd be doing Jedi stuff in-game and out-of-game, so I'd have no actual time to ENJOY the server I am Council of. I'd always be doing logistical stuff and I'd rarely get a chance to relax to other games as well, hence why I'd NEVER play games with others or converse with others lest they came to me to talk. Even those times people do recall talking to me, I sometimes would have you repeat or I wasn't paying attention, it's because I was answering someone's questions/concerns.

With this change I will have more free-time to focus on player relations/hosting events/relaxing. I wasn't forced to do this, no one was, this is the compromise that I could fully agree with.

Not only do I get a Senator character, but I also get to keep my personal character Hyperion the Grand Master.

For those unaware, my Grand Master character will NOT have any direct voting power/say in who gets master/council/promote/demoted/etc... He will be a pure ADVISORY role, which means he is someone that I can RP with that would not have a direct affect on you what-so-ever, now in-case you're thinking this makes no sense lore-wise remember:

The Grand Master is merely someone who maintains the balance of the Order itself and ensures it's running smoothly, he would never just straight-up tell a Council of people "no you're doing it wrong". It would come from the "high council", same with promotions/etc... Except in OUR universe/gameplay universe, the High Council doesn't exist (no one to RP it), therefore the "high council" is technically the one on our server. Therefore, the Grand Master is merely like an "elder" to a tribe. Ex-chief, wise man who the new-chief listens to, but ultimately the new-chief has final say.

This is what I'm hoping. I'm OKAY with reverting things IF it doesn't work out. But I am not going to change my mind until it's tried first.

So, I know I haven't been on in a month or so and I dont know if what Im about to say is still true but, the SA+ could easily focus on the community more if they came online more often. Our SA'S are all pretty active but as it goes higher not so much.

I think many of you are only thinking short term, in light of those you've personally seen do well and lead well. This change wasn't only prompted by you all, the community, in the CWRP Survey, but a change deemed necessary for the future of the server: a vision a lot more difficult to comprehend as a single most "player" of the server. It's no secret that the responsibilities of upper management can be overwhelming at times, and when you stack the responsibilities of such important roles on top of that, it can get a little ridiculous I'm sure. When I held my fairly high rank on the server at the time I played, I could only manage both that and my duties as a RP Council because it was summer, and I was jobless. This will not always be the case with others. It would have been only a matter of time before the two canceled each other out, marring the efficiency in one or the other, and that's IF it hadn't already started occurring. In the end, I think you all will favor having individuals as close to your 'label' of possible responsibility in the server, also command the front line ranks, roles, faces, and etc.

Again, I understand it can be hard, now, to witness those you've grown close to, and have been happy to serve under, just be stripped in such short notice, but MANY did not agree with that reality. Some even denounced it as bias on our part, immediately granting high staff ranks the highest roles within roleplay, and I could immediately sympathize with those accusations, me, being able to view a server for once through the eyes of a regular player.

but what do I know, I'm just a dumb darkrp council ¯\(ツ)

The whole reason people have SA+ at important spots is that they're reliable. They aren't gonna leave the server in a sec.

GRANDPA COMMANDER WOOOOOOOOO

But in all seriousness I put my faith in council and Scott for whatever happens. I'm sure they will be capable of their roles as they have been.

Well said brother.

I do not support this at all heres a few reasons why.

  1. Having the high staff in there positions allows for more delegation to other commanding officers positions ( They cant do it all themselves because they are also busy staffing.
  2. Right now the head staffs IE Shuggy, mercy, Seem very approachable in there current billets. Because on joining the battalion they run, You begin to get to know them. I can speak from experience because the only way i knew Shuggy was because i joined Naval.
  3. There players too, They have earned the potion that they wanted. Some have dedicated there entire playtime on the server to said potions.
  4. Having a tonne of senators running around may be a little bit breaking RP, For how active they will be on the ship i dont know but i doubt in lore that senators would be stationed with a battle group.

Pros.

  1. Allows for more high ranking positions to be filled by new commanders and will allow for more people to apply for a commanders position. To allow to step up to the plate and get more experience in a high ranking staff position.
  2. Would add a possible new regiment to the server ( Senator Guard CG on steroids) which would be a very elite battalion.
  3. Would allow some of the high ranking postions to take a bit of a brake from the stress of being in those battalions.
  4. Last but not least would be more role play abiliatlys on the ship ( Requesting for supply's when a senator comes on bored, and things like that.)

Okay boys, papa Randy is gonna have a little talk with you all. I wanna start off by staying neither Scott nor penguin forced us to step down. We all agreed that this is for the best, and we have made compromises to where we will still engage in awesome rp with you guys, and continue to serve you both as SA+ and RP Characters. We were in no way forced out, and I don't care who is telling you we were, they are lying to you. If we believe the best course for the community is for us to step down and allow the community to take a more direct role in the command structure of the server, we will do that. When I first found out what was proposed, I was pissed. We all were. But then It was explained to us. I was angry because I thought they were asking me to abandon my battalion and have no further contact with them. That's not the case! If you think we only held our positions to have power, you're a retard. We love our battalions and we love this ship and we love this community, and we think it's in the best interests of the server to allow you more say in the commands of our ship, and for us to whole heartedly focus on the community as a whole. We aren't dying and leaving the server, we are merely shifting ourselves to a more community oriented role. Which I am happy to do If its for the good of the community. I'm glad I was arf commander for this long to be the only remaining OG CMDR left since day one. All of us SA+ are looking forward to the future, and I urge you to take this as a positive, and strive to make the community a better place.

padme amidala is pretty cute just saying guys ;)

Also if ya see a weird armored guy walking around the ship talking about " Contracts " and " Senate Orders " Just ignore him :kappa:

I don't exactly know how I feel about all this, but from what I've read I don't see a reason not to try this. If it fails, we can always change back, but a test would never hurt
